On the Cover of our September - October 2011 Issue
Blakeneyis one of the delightful coastal villages along the North Norfolk coast, venue for our 2011 Singer National Car Rally (SNCR) weekend, and was chosen as the lunch-time stop on the Saturday run to Walsingham, following our boat trip to see the resident seal colony at Blakeney Point.
The village started life as a busy medieval commercial port until the estuary began to silt up, preventing all but pleasure craft from gaining access. The village is set on a small hill leading down to the harbour and has many pretty flint cottages and a 14th Century Guildhall.
