Cor Singer and his then girl-friend Mieke first saw their Singer at a lustrum of the Dutch SOC in Hoorn, the place where they live. This was in the 1980s. They had read an article about the meeting in the newspaper and got curious.  The meeting was fun and they were amazed by the nice Singer cars, but at that time could only dream about owning one, so they took 4 pictures.  Then, about 3 years ago, after saving money for a long time, Cor and Mieke, now his wife, were able to buy one.  Cor consulted Bram le Duc, a Singer expert who also lives in Hoorn, who told them his cousin Piet Snoek wanted to sell his 4A Roadster. So they went to see Piet and bought the car. Says Cor: “How remarkable is it that our Roadster was on 3 of the 4 pictures I took 25 years before!?  I thought it would be quite nice to own a Singer, but I was wrong -  it is great fun!”
